How to change the battery of the Peugeot 2008 II

To change the battery of the Peugeot 2008, we first need to locate it: it is located in the engine compartment, on the right side relative to the engine block, so in front of the passenger (with left-hand drive). We remove the battery hold-down bracket, disconnect the black cable (negative terminal) first, and then the red cable (positive terminal). Next, we remove the old battery, clean the cable terminals thoroughly, and apply copper grease to the already connected terminals (this helps protect the outer part of the connection from oxidation). We position the battery in the compartment and connect the positive terminal first, then the negative one. We reattach the hold-down bracket. Removing the battery resets the onboard electronics, so either have a battery maintainer or be prepared to re-enter the radio code, recalibrate the electric windows, and deal with the inconvenience that the start & stop system may not function in the first driving cycles.
