In the video, we see how to deactivate the Eco mode on the Peugeot 207: a widely felt issue in the South American market. This is because the Eco mode applies a very aggressive start & stop, which is too slow to restart for the traffic in South American cities, creating dangerous situations: for this reason, many users deactivate it. Additionally, the fuel quality is lower compared to European standards. It should also be noted that in Eco mode, the air conditioning operates at a minimum to save fuel, so with tropical temperatures or at high altitude, the cabin becomes an oven, forcing users to turn off Eco for sheer survival. Furthermore, the Eco mode, calibrated for European climates, is sensitive to heat and dust.
