What the flashing battery light means on the electric Peugeot Partner

If you see the flashing battery light on the electric Peugeot Partner (also on the Citroen Berlingo and Toyota Proace City), it does not indicate a fault but rather an energy-saving function, indicating that the vehicle has entered low consumption mode to preserve the charge of the 12-volt battery (the starting battery). This function activates when you leave the van running for an extended period (about 30 minutes) without driving it, or when some electrical consumers are left on. This is to prevent draining the 12V battery that powers several systems (door opening, onboard computer, electric starting system, etc.). Some functions, such as the radio, interior lights, windscreen wipers, and electric windows, are disabled. To restore all functions, simply press the "start" button.
