Fixing a Short Circuit on a Peugeot 3008

This video shows a Peugeot 3008 that had a short circuit (probably the cigarette lighter or a USB port) causing a parasitic drain, discharging the battery. The mechanic found and fixed the short circuit using a very technical procedure on the fuse box, where there is a jumper called "ChanTi" with two positions: the "customer" position, which is normal and activates Eco mode, and the "park" position used in the workshop. By moving the fuse to this position, Eco mode is deactivated, allowing mechanics to work on the car with diagnostic computers on for extended periods without the risk of the car shutting down. To work, the mechanic moved the jumper to "park" mode and after the repair returned it to the "customer" position. The mechanic strongly advises against methods found online, such as disconnecting the battery terminals, which are used on these French cars, as they can severely damage the control units. The procedure shown is professional and requires specific equipment.
