Next, see how to deactivate the automatic handbrake upon starting and turning off the vehicle on a Peugeot 3008. This procedure also applies to Peugeot 2008 vehicles. Turn on the vehicle's instrument panel and press the button with the brake symbol upwards and wait a few seconds. The brake will be deactivated. To activate it, follow the same procedure in reverse: turn on the instrument panel and pull the button downwards to activate the brake. In both cases, the instrument panel warning light will show whether the brake is active or deactivated.
