How to Change the Diesel Filter on a Peugeot 107

In this video, see how to change the diesel filter on a Peugeot 107. The same procedure applies to the Toyota Aygo and Citroen C1. Remove the engine cover and, using a T20 screwdriver, unscrew the three screws of the air filter flange, then remove the air filter and disconnect the hose from its plastic guide. Remove the protective plate of the diesel filter, unscrew the support screw, and disconnect the diesel hoses (have a cloth ready for any diesel that spills out). Disconnect the electrical connector and extract the filter from its housing. Take the new filter, fill it with clean diesel before installation to aid priming. Insert it into the housing, reconnect the connector, replace the support screw, reconnect the diesel hoses, and reattach the protective plate. Before restarting the engine, locate the manual priming pump: a small rubber lever on the fuel pump. Pump until the lever becomes firm: this means the pump has filled the filter with diesel and expelled the air. Reattach the engine cover, start the car, and let it idle for a couple of minutes, and you’re done!
