Fuel Pump Failure in Peugeot 407 or Citroen C4

The problem described in this video is very common in Peugeot 407, Citroen C4, and other BSA group models with BSI modules. The issue involves the fuel pump relay burning out and not sending power to the pump fuse. The solution proposed in the video is a temporary bypass to start the car in an emergency (5-10 minutes), avoiding the costly and complex replacement of the module. Symptoms of the failure include: the starter motor turns, but we do not hear the fuel pump; the onboard computer reports multiple errors (P2143, P0201-P0204, P0444, P0351-P0352) – these errors appear because the lack of fuel causes problems for the injectors and the coil; the BSI/BSM module has a burnt relay (often relay No. 2 or the pump relay). The quick bypass solution is a temporary fix to get the car home or to the workshop. You will need: a piece of electrical wire (1.5-2.5 mm²); two crocodile clips and a pair of pliers: identify the fuse on the fuel pump, check that there is no power. Connect a bypass wire from the positive terminal of the battery to the output terminal of the fuse (the side going to the pump). Essentially, you go directly from 12V to the pump, bypassing the faulty relay. Then turn on the ignition and try to start the car. The pump should start, and the car should start.
