Replacing the Battery in the Peugeot 407

When the battery in the Peugeot 407 discharges and cannot hold a charge, it needs to be replaced. Open the bonnet, and you will find the battery on the driver's side. Use a square key to loosen the clamp at the base of the battery. Remove the terminals, starting with the negative, and take out the exhausted battery using the designated handles. Clean the battery compartment and the terminals with a wire brush. Position the new battery, apply a thin layer of petroleum grease on the terminals and clamps, and reattach them, securing with the clips. Finally, reposition the clamp at the base.
