When the battery of the Peugeot 407 is discharged and does not hold up to subsequent attempts to recharge it, replacement is necessary. We open the hood of the engine compartment, we will find the battery on the driver's side. Using a square key, we loosen the clamp at the base of the battery, proceed to remove the clamps on the terminals starting from the negative one, remove the exhausted battery using the appropriate handles. We clean the battery compartment and, with a wire brush, the terminals. We position the new battery, spreading a layer of vaseline grease on the terminals and the clamps, and we reassemble them, securing them with the clips. Finally, we reposition the clamp at the base.
