Location and Replacement of the Pollen Filter on a Peugeot 208 MK1

On the Peugeot 208 MK1 (2012-2019), the pollen filter is not in the "standard" position many expect (under the glove compartment or behind the dashboard). It is instead in a less accessible position, as revealed in the video. The filter is located under the plastic trim on the passenger side of the centre tunnel, near the pedal. It is not under the dashboard or behind the console. Now, let's go through the replacement procedure: remove the side trim (the plastic panel on the passenger side, under the central console). Gently pull it away, using leverage if necessary, then locate the filter housing and open the cover. Clean the housing thoroughly, removing dust and debris before inserting the new filter, ensuring the airflow direction is respected, usually indicated by an arrow on the filter. Finally, close the cover and reattach the side trim.
