Removing the battery from the Peugeot 308 requires access to several components. Disconnect the positive terminal (pulling the tab) to avoid short circuits.

Using a screwdriver, unscrew the screws that secure the air filter and resonator (noise reduction element), then remove them. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Remove the screws that secure the battery bracket and disconnect the earth cable. Lift the battery out and remove it from the compartment.

The job is complex but doable with the right tools. During reassembly, reconnect the positive terminal first, then the negative.

Never leave a metal key near the terminals to avoid short circuits.
