How to replace the headlight bulb on a Peugeot Expert

To replace the headlight bulb on a Peugeot Expert (2016-2024), open the bonnet and locate the internal cover panel of the headlamp unit. Remove the rubber protective cover by pulling the tab. Disconnect the electrical connector and release the retaining spring.

Extract the bulb, ensuring to align the metal part with the slots in the housing. Before handling the new bulb, use a clean cloth or tissue to avoid touching the glass with your fingers: moisture and grease from your skin can cause darkening and rapid breakage of the bulb.

If the glass is accidentally touched, clean it with methylated spirits. Insert the new bulb into the holder and reconnect the connector.

Reposition the retaining spring and press until it clicks. Replace the protective cover, ensuring it is sealed correctly around the perimeter to maintain integrity.

Test the headlight operation. The procedure takes about 30 minutes and does not require special tools.

For Full LED headlights, however, it is not possible to replace the individual bulb: you must contact an authorised workshop.
