How to Replace the Diesel Filter on Peugeot 1007

Replacing the fuel filter is crucial for optimal engine performance, preventing exhaust smoke and issues during initial start-up. The diesel filter on the 1.4 HDI version is a sealed plastic block located at the rear of the engine bay, behind the engine air filter box, next to the brake fluid reservoir. To carry out this maintenance, it is advisable to remove the engine air filter cover for better access. Disconnect the pipes by releasing the pressure clips and removing the fixing screws to extract the old filter. Follow the reverse order for installing the new one and it is recommended to turn the ignition on three or four times before starting the engine to allow the filter to fill.
