The fuel filter on the Peugeot 308 prevents any dirt in the tank from reaching the injection system and causing damage, but it must be replaced periodically to ensure efficiency. To do this, position yourself at the rear passenger seat on the right side, remove the seat cushion, and take off the section of trim and the round cover underneath.

This gives you access to the filter; disconnect the hoses connected to it by acting on the fittings, pull out the old filter, and fit a new one in its place. Reconnect the fuel hoses, secure the filter body in position, and reassemble the cover, trim, and seat.
