On the Peugeot 2008 and many other recent Peugeot and Citroën models, it is likely that after replacing the battery, the remote will stop working. This is because the internal chip is reset, and reprogramming will be necessary.

First, sit in the driver's seat of the vehicle and insert the key into the ignition. Then, while holding down the lock button on the key, turn on the ignition without releasing the lock button for five seconds.

After five seconds, you can turn off the ignition, release the lock button, and test the remote's functionality.
