To replace the timing belt on a Peugeot 407, first lift the car using a ramp and remove the front right wheel. This will allow you to take off the plastic cover on the side of the engine and some obstructing parts. Once access to the pulleys is clear, lock them in place and loosen the central bolt of the tensioner pulley. This will relieve the tension on the belt, allowing it to be easily removed and replaced with a new spare part. After installation, refit all previously removed parts.
