Instructions for Removing the Rear Bumper

Model: Peugeot 406 MK 1 - Years 1995-2005
Part: Rear bumper

To remove the rear bumper more easily, lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands and remove the rear wheels; then proceed to detach the wheel arch liners and the mounting bolts securing the bumper to the edges of the wing. Access the boot and remove the carpet lining, then take out the rear lights and the other mounting bolts for the bumper. The last bolts are located along the lower edge of the bumper. Once the bumper is removed, you can complete the disassembly by taking out the internal reinforcements and the external trims.
