Procedure for Bleeding the Fuel Pump and Filter

Model: Peugeot 206 MK 1 - Years 1998-2012

After any intervention, even the simplest, such as changing the fuel filter, you must always bleed the air from the fuel injection system. Once the bonnet is open, remove the engine protection cover. To do this, turn the plastic screws a quarter turn and take off the cover. Once you locate the filter and the corresponding bleed screw, unscrew it by one turn to release the air. Now, crank the engine for a few seconds. Wait a few seconds and repeat the cranking. You may need to repeat these actions several times until the engine starts. Turn off the engine, fully tighten the bleed screw, and restart the engine to check its proper functioning. Finally, refit the protection cover. Car model: Peugeot 206 HDI 2.0.
