Replacing spark plugs is an extremely simple operation that does not require special precautions. It is recommended to perform this maintenance with the engine cold, as the spark plugs are screwed directly into the engine head and would be too hot to handle safely; disconnect the lead from the spark plug, blow compressed air onto the spark plug seat to prevent dirt from entering the cylinder during disassembly, unscrew the old spark plug and screw in the new one without exceeding the tightening torque (ensure compatibility of the new spark plug), clean the lead contact with electrical contact spray before reconnecting it.
