Let's see how to set the private mode on the MyPeugot app: if you need to leave no trace on the MyPeugeot app of our itinerary, this is possible. Let's go to the notification icon, which is at the top right of the screen, select "private mode". by default it is "sharing of data and vehicle position", ie the car sends all the data to the app on the phone. If I go to "data sharing only", only the distance data will arrive on the app, therefore the distances, but not the positions. If I don't want to send this data either, then we select "no shared data". Every time I change the setting I have to press "ok" to confirm. Let's check from the app. If we go driving and see the last routes traveled, where I simply have the departure time and the arrival time with the kilometers traveled and the consumption. If I had removed that too, I would have had no trace of that route, as if the car hadn't moved. This mode can also be activated by simultaneously pressing the two buttons (red + lion) on the ceiling light. Then confirm by pressing the "lion" button again. Same procedure to disable it again. Of course, this means that the total mileage on the app doesn't update either. It will realign when we return to transmit the data.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
