The EOBD (European On Board Diagnostic) socket is how your vehicle communicates with technicians, indicating the various faults that have occurred and been recorded in the ECU, allowing mechanics to trace the problem and rectify it. You can also read these codes using an OBD reader, which can be purchased for a few dozen pounds on any e-commerce platform.

Any mobile app will help you decode the codes that the vehicle provides.

In the case of the Peugeot 3008, the EOBD socket is located between the centre console and the steering column, in a small compartment to the right of the steering wheel.
