Operation: How to replace the battery on a Peugeot 207 1.4 HDI

To change the battery in your Peugeot 207 1.4, open the bonnet of your car: the battery is to the right of the engine. Open the battery cover. Always disconnect the negative pole first, and then the positive one. Disconnect the negative lead and move it aside, remove the positive lead completely. You can now unhook the box. Pull up on the battery cover and remove the grounding clip. Open the plastic tabs of the ECU box and remove it and, without twisting the cables, place the ECU out of the way. With an extension key, unscrew the bolt - be careful not to drop it - you can now remove the battery from its holder. Clean the terminals with fine sandpaper from the oxide. Coat the new battery terminals with copper grease to improve contact grip. Position the new battery and position the support plate with the aid of a piece of absorbent paper, as shown in the video, so that it does not slip down. So you are sure not to lose the bolt either. Now remove the paper towel. Reposition the control unit and put its cover back. Replace the ground clamp. Now you can put the battery cover back. Reposition the plastic case and connect the poles: first the positive one and then the negative one and tighten them well. Job finished.
