In this video tutorial we can see how the Peugeot 308 is serviced. In particular, we are going to see how to replace the engine oil and the oil filter. Lift the bonnet and secure it with the appropriate rod. Before starting to change the engine oil, it is recommended to warm up the engine in order to thin the oil and facilitate its outflow. We then turn on the car and let it warm up for about 10 minutes, so that the temperature reaches full speed, then turn off the vehicle and start maintenance. To remove the oil filter, you have to remove some pieces, which are located in the engine compartment, as shown in the video. Once you gain access to the oil filter. Before removing the filter, lift the car with a hydraulic jack and set up trestles for support and safety; remove the plastic bulkhead that protects the engine from splashes; place a container for used oil under the vehicle and unscrew the drain plug; wait for all the oil to flow into the container, while it stops dripping we unscrew the filter bell with a 27 socket wrench; replace the old filter and place the new filter. Then screw in the oil drain plug, under the car and lower the car.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
