How to Perform Maintenance on a Peugeot 308

In this video tutorial, you can see how to carry out a service on a Peugeot 308. Specifically, we will look at how to replace the engine oil and the oil filter. Lift the bonnet and secure it with the appropriate prop. Before starting the oil replacement, it is advisable to warm up the engine to thin the oil and facilitate its drainage. Start the car and let it warm up for about 10 minutes to reach operating temperature, then switch off the vehicle and begin the maintenance. To remove the oil filter, you need to take off some components located in the engine bay, as shown in the video. Once you have access to the oil filter, lift the car with a hydraulic jack and place safety stands underneath; remove the plastic shield that protects the engine from splashes; position a container for the used oil under the vehicle and unscrew the drain plug; wait for all the oil to drain into the container, and while it finishes dripping, proceed to unscrew the oil filter with a 27mm socket; replace the old filter with the new one. Next, screw the oil drain plug back in under the vehicle and lower the car.
