Door Stay Repair Instructions

Model: Peugeot 607 MK 1 - Years 2000-2010

If the door tends to close by itself when opened, there is a problem with the stay, due either to damage to the stay itself or its housing on the door: the portion of metal where the stay is fixed has given way; therefore, you need to remove the stay and apply a reinforcement plate, but to do this, you must remove the door panel; remove the frame around the window switch and the switch itself, the one around the opening handle, detach the courtesy light and the pressure clips along the edge of the panel; at this point, peel back the soundproofing cover and unscrew the fastening nuts of the stay to apply the reinforcement plate or washers; then proceed in reverse for reassembly.
