Instructions for Repairing the Window Regulator Mechanism

If activating the window switch causes the motor to run but the glass does not move, it means the plastic claws that pull the glass during the up and down phase have failed. There is a repair kit available that replaces the plastic claws with metal ones, but to carry out this replacement, you need to disassemble the window mechanism and have some familiarity with this type of device, as it is not straightforward to maintain the cable adjustment. A quicker solution is to replace the entire mechanism, which is also relatively inexpensive. If you still want to attempt the repair, remove the door panel, the speaker, and then the window regulator mechanism; detach the plastic sliders and attach the new ones while keeping the cable in position using snap pliers. Connect the mechanism temporarily and test its operation before installation; finally, reverse the steps for installation, lubricating the glass sliding guides with silicone spray.
