Peugeot 607 - Video tutorial

Model: Peugeot 607 MK 1 - Years 2000-2010
Part: Window motor
Operation: Window mechanism repair instructions

If it happens that by activating the window lift button you hear the motor turn but the glass does not move, then it means that the plastic jaws that drag the glass during the up and down phase have yielded: for this purpose there is a repair kit. which involves the replacement of the plastic jaws with others in metal, but to make this replacement it is necessary to disassemble the window lifter mechanism and be familiar with this type of device since it is not very easy to maintain the adjustment of the control cable. A quicker solution is to replace the entire mechanism which, among other things, has a fairly low cost. If you still want to try the repair, remove the door panel, the loudspeaker and then the mechanism for lifting windows; unhook the plastic shoes and hook the new ones keeping the cable in position using snap pliers. Connect the mechanism on the fly and carry out the activation tests before installing it; then proceed backwards for the installation lubricating the sliding guides of the glass with silicone spray.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
