How to Replace the Battery in a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S

This guide shows how to remove the battery from a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S. Before replacing the battery, connect a power converter to the OBD port located in the fuse box inside the cabin. From the front compartment, remove the portable compressor and its housing using a T30 Torx screwdriver. Use a 13mm wrench to remove the three bolts securing the battery hold-down and the battery itself. Disconnect the positive terminal and cover it with insulating material, then set it aside. Disconnect the negative terminal and replace the battery with a new one. After reconnecting the battery terminals, perform a vehicle diagnostic to reset any errors.
