How to remove and replace the starter motor in a Renault Scenic 1.9 DTI

Ok, to change the starter motor on the car you need a bit of good will. Start by disconnecting the battery. Then find the starter motor, which is usually hidden under the engine near the gearbox. Disconnect the connected cables and unscrew the fixing bolts, they may be a bit tight so maybe use some penetrating oil. Once removed, insert the new starter motor in its place, put back the bolts and reconnect the cables. Make sure everything is tight, then reconnect the battery and try to start the car. If it starts well, mission accomplished, you did a great job. If not, double check the connections or contact a specialized workshop.
