To touch up a small bodywork damage with a spray can, we must follow the precise instructions of the youtuber, which we can summarize in a preparation phase where we must clean with water and soap, sand with 320 and then 450 sandpaper to level the scratches, and then mask the nearby areas with protective body shop tape. We apply a coat of primer (2 very light coats, as shown), then sand with 600 grit sandpaper to smooth the area and blend the edges with 1000 or even 2000 grit sandpaper. Now we wrap the tape by rolling it outwards, so that the paint can wrap around the edge without creating a sharp line. We must roll the outer edge of the tape outwards, creating a rounded edge instead of a straight edge, so that the adhesive of the tape remains exposed. This creates a natural faded effect. We paint giving 3 coats: adhesion, coverage, finish. Let it dry for 24 hours and then polish with abrasive paste to even out. Remove the masking tape.
