Renault Zoe: How to Replace the 12V Auxiliary Battery in the Engine Bay

On the Renault Zoe, the 12 Volt auxiliary battery is located in the engine bay, at the top right, under the large blue cover for the electrical components. After opening the bonnet, lift and move the blue cover by loosening the metal bracket to completely free the battery. Connect a specific battery tester to the terminals to check its condition, as shown in the video. Once the check is complete, proceed to dismantle: detach the windscreen washer fluid reservoir by pulling it forward from its clips to create more space in front of the battery. At this point, the battery can be removed from its housing, revealing the plastic support base; inspect it and remove any debris. Outside, compare the old battery with the new replacement battery, checking dimensions, capacity, and terminal positions. Finally, lower the new battery into the bay in place of the old one, align it against the base, and reassemble the support, blue cover, and washer reservoir in order. Once completed, the engine bay of the Renault Zoe returns to its original configuration with the 12V auxiliary battery replaced.
