How is the R135 engine of the Renault Zoe composed?

In this beautiful three-dimensional animation, we see how the R135 electric motor of the Renault Zoe works: the car is powered by a high-voltage battery, which stores the electrical energy needed to operate the vehicle. By pressing the accelerator, the battery sends electric current to the motor, which converts this electrical energy into mechanical energy, which turns the wheels. As seen in the animation, the operation is much simpler compared to an internal combustion engine; there are no valves, pistons, or complex gears, so the car is much quieter and with fewer vibrations. When the accelerator is released or the brake is pressed, the electric motor operates in reverse, turning into a generator. In this way, the kinetic energy of the vehicle is recovered and stored in the battery, increasing the range.
