How to replace the battery in a Renault Megane key? Use a lever to separate the battery cover from the key housing (pry between the two plastic parts of the key). Remove the flat battery from the key fob housing using a small screwdriver. Take a new battery (same size and voltage) and fit it into its housing. Reassemble the two parts of the cover with the buttons by pressing on the key fob until you hear the locking click (close the cover with the plastic cap removed earlier). Finally, check the correct operation of the key fob.
