First, remove the rear seat by unscrewing the relevant bolts, then lift the carpet and remove the rubber cap from the pump. Next, disconnect both the connector and the pipe, and unscrew the large outer ring, using a suitable extractor or applying force with a large screwdriver and a hammer.

Once this is done, you can extract the pump, remove the float, and install the replacement.
