Rocker Cover Gasket Replacement

Before applying the new gasket to the rocker cover, thoroughly clean the gasket seating area on both the cylinder head side and the cover side to remove any dirt and deposits that could compromise the adhesion and sealing of the gasket itself. The gasket is a rubber ring to be placed along the edges of the rocker cover where there is a specific groove; it is recommended to apply gasket sealant at the edge between the flat seating of the cylinder head and the radius of the oil seal seating of the camshaft; finally, position the cover and tighten the respective mounting bolts.
