Operation: Replacing the tappet cover gasket

Before applying the new gasket to the tappet cover, carefully clean the gasket seat, both on the cylinder head side and on the cover side, in order to eliminate any residual dirt and encrustation that could compromise the adherence and sealing of the gasket itself. The gasket is a rubber ring to be inserted along the edges of the tappet cover where there is a special groove; it is suggested to apply sealant mastic in correspondence with the corner present between the flat seat of the cylinder head and the radius of the camshaft oil seal seat; finally position the cover and tighten the relative fixing pins.

How to reset the on-board computer of the Peugeot 208?

Resetting the Peugeot 208's on-board computer, the system called SMEG, is very simple. We can do this in case the system shows signs of malfunction, freezes, or in any other case where a restart could solve the problem. To reboot, simply hold down the two keys located in the lower left corner of the computer at the same time. After a few seconds, the SMEG system display will switch off, the Peugeot logo will appear and the start-up procedure will start. We wait patiently for the restart to complete as it may take some time.
