Procedure to Replace the Oil Filter and Engine Oil on a Renault Kangoo

Model: Renault Kangoo MK 1, KC, KW - Years 1997-2008

Unscrew the oil filler cap, lift the car with a hydraulic lift (the vehicle should be as level as possible); place a container for collecting the used oil under the oil sump (it should have a capacity of at least 4 litres); unscrew the drain plug with a ¼ inch ratchet and an 8mm socket; wait for all the oil to completely drain from the drain hole; move the container under the oil filter, unscrew the oil filter and place the old filter in the container, clean the mounting seat of the oil filter, lubricate the rubber seal of the new filter with a small amount of fresh oil; insert the new oil filter in place and tighten it to a torque of 19 Nm with a torque wrench. Clean the area around the drain hole with a cleaning spray; using an 8mm socket, screw in the oil drain plug and tighten it to 25 Nm with a torque wrench. Lower the vehicle and top up with new oil using an oil funnel (3.8 litres).
