Video tutorial

The chassis number of a vehicle is obviously found on the registration document and the certificate of ownership. It must also be recorded on our Renault Modus.

The plate that appears on the left side of the vehicle, near the driver's steering wheel and visible from the windscreen, is a courtesy plate and is not the actual chassis number. This is the number that must be checked by the DVLA for inspections and that the police must verify during vehicle checks.

In these cases, it is essential to know where the legal chassis number of the vehicle is located. In the case of the Modus, it is found in the boot, on the passenger side, under the carpet, as indicated in the video.
