The electronic handbrake or assisted parking brake is a function that electronically manages the handbrake, meaning there is no longer a classic lever to lift or lower, but a "on" "off" switch on the centre console before the handbrake. When you turn on the ignition, the display shows the indication "handbrake engaged" and the light on the handbrake switch is illuminated. When you start moving, the handbrake automatically releases, and both the dashboard warning light and the switch light will turn off. You can still manually engage the handbrake and release it later by lifting the switch.
