Instructions for Replacing Diesel Filter
Model: Renault Scenic
- Years 1996-2003
The diesel filter is located at the front right of the engine bay (when viewed from the front), just in front of the coolant reservoir. To replace it, start by disconnecting the connector, empty the reservoir through the drain valve at the bottom of the filter container, and loosen the one on the high-pressure pump to aid drainage. Then unscrew the screw in the centre of the cap and lift the cover, remove the gasket, and extract the old filter. Next, insert the new filter, along with new gaskets both under the screw head and at the cap seat, as well as in the centre of the cap. Reposition and secure the cover with the locking screw, reconnect the connector, and fill the filter reservoir by pumping with the manual pump before attempting the first start.
