How to Replace the Starter Motor on a Renault Clio 4

To replace the starter motor on a Renault Clio, start by disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery using a 10 mm socket. Raise the car on the right side, remove the underbody protection, and detach the air hose by levering with a flathead screwdriver at the ends. Use pliers to remove the clip holding the intercooler hose, then move it aside. With a 10 mm socket, unscrew the bolt securing the radiator duct and disconnect the connector. Disconnect the intake hose above the starter motor. Using a 10 mm socket, unscrew the nut of the electrical sheath, then with a 10 mm ratchet spanner, unscrew the nut of the positive terminal of the starter, and with an 8 mm socket, remove the negative terminal. Disconnect the starter power supply. Using a 13 mm socket, unscrew the two bolts holding the starter motor and remove it from underneath (there should be more space). Now take the new starter motor, tighten the two 13 mm bolts, and for reassembly, follow the reverse procedure of disassembly.
