How to Change the Door Hinge on a Renault Kangoo MK2

If the door of your Kangoo creaks, it is likely the hinge that needs changing. Here’s how to do it. Start by removing the door trim panel, beginning with the lower screws, then the inner side screws, and finally the outer side screws. Use plastic spatulas to pry off the panel, then remove the top part of the handle and the external mirror control. Once the handle is open, you can access the screws holding the panel in place. There are also clips to remove, which are connected to the window regulator (which in this case is manual). Now you can remove the screws that attach the door to the frame, and then loosen the lower hinge. You will need to lift the rubber protection that shields the inside of the door to access the internal screws: we will reattach it later. Now, you have removed the creaking hinge. Lubricate the new one well with silicone grease before positioning it, then place it in position and connect it to the frame. Do not tighten the screws too much, as you risk breaking the heads. Now reattach the part you removed and replace the panel. Operation complete.
