Replacing the Battery on the Renault Megane

When the battery on the Renault Megane discharges and fails to hold a charge, you need to replace it. Open the bonnet, and you will find the battery on the driver's side. Using a 13mm socket with an extension, unscrew the mounting bracket and remove it. Using a 10mm socket, unscrew the negative terminal, then unscrew the positive terminal cables and loosen the entire terminal. You can now remove the old battery, clean the terminals with sandpaper, apply a thin layer of copper grease on the terminals of the new battery, and insert it into its housing. Reattach the positive terminal and the secondary cable, then connect the negative terminal, and refit the mounting bracket, using absorbent paper if necessary to hold the nut.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y

To open the bonnet on this vehicle, follow these simple instructions: first, open the driver's door and locate the lever positioned just below the dashboard, marked with an image of the vehicle with the bonnet open.
