How to change the oil and filter on the Renault Megane II

In this video, you will see how to change the engine oil and filter on a Renault Megane II: start by opening the bonnet and unscrewing the oil filler cap. Then, lift the vehicle and remove the undertray. Position a large container under the drain hole to collect the used oil, which you will dispose of at an authorised centre. Now, change the oil filter; a smaller container will be needed here as well. Clean the filter seat and lubricate the rubber seal of the new filter with clean oil, then screw the new filter into place. Clean the oil sump drain area and insert a new plug and gasket. Refit the undertray that you removed earlier. Now, proceed to refill the oil: insert a funnel and pour in 4.8 litres of synthetic oil SAE 5W40. Then, check the oil level using the dipstick. Replace the oil filler cap and run the engine for a few minutes. Recheck the oil level and add oil if necessary.
