How to Replace the Battery in a Renault Megane III

Let's see how to replace the battery in a Renault Megane III that has gone flat. Open the engine bay, remove the battery cover on the driver's side using a 10 mm socket spanner with an extension, and unscrew the two screws that secure the mounting bracket. With the same spanner, loosen and remove the negative terminal, repeat the same process with the positive terminal, and unscrew the cable terminal to remove it. Take out the old battery, clean the housing, take the new battery, apply a thin layer of copper grease on the terminals, place it in its seat, use sandpaper to clean the inside of the terminals, reattach the positive cable and secure the terminal, also secure the negative terminal, position the bracket, tighten it with its screws, and replace the plastic cover.
