Engine Air Filter Replacement

Model: Saab 9 5 Ys3e, MK 1 - Years 1997-2010

The engine air filter housing is located at the front right of the vehicle, just behind the panel: to remove the old filter, it is not necessary to open the bonnet; simply unscrew the fixing screws of the cap of the filter housing. Once the screws (4 Torx screws) are removed, pull out the old cylindrical filter and insert the new one by placing it in the centre of the cap in the designated slot. Refit by tightening the fixing screws. The new filter will ensure the correct airflow to the engine, allowing for much smoother performance, especially in fuel consumption.
