When you go to have your car serviced, it happens that you forget about a very important filter: that of the passenger compartment. It allows to filter the air coming from the outside, combining its action with the basic filter and the activated carbon one; if you start to notice the inefficiency of the ventilation, this is the first reason you might think. Fortunately, its replacement is not complex: it is generally located on the passenger side under the glovebox. To replace it, it is necessary to remove the screws that support the plastic: with a screwdriver, press lightly in the center and then push them out gently at the sides; pay attention to the connector that is attached to the plastic. At this point, there are some torx screws; Once those have been removed, move the plastic downwards, finding other screws to remove, ie those of the glove box. Open it and remove the last screws to allow it to be moved: there are other connectors and a tube, remove them gently. You will find yourself in front of the filter housing, supported by some bolts: once these are removed, push the housing out and take the filter out. Give it a good clean, if necessary, before reinserting everything; if necessary, replace the rubber and attach it to the new housing. Reassemble everything following the procedure in reverse.
