Let's see how to properly clean the engine of a Seat Ibiza 6L: first of all, the engine must be cold; disconnect the battery and remove the air filter; protect the electrical components with plastic or film. We will need a specific engine cleaner, such as Liqui-Moly Rapid Cleaner which can be found on E-Bay in a 500 ml pack for 10.50 euros, with free delivery in 3 days.

Start by removing leaves and large debris, give a first dusting and then spray the degreaser evenly over the entire engine, avoiding electrical components. Let it sit for about 10 minutes, without letting it dry. Scrub the dirtiest areas with brushes, and use microfiber cloths on the most accessible parts.

Use demineralized water sparingly and dry immediately with a clean cloth. If you have a compressor, it will help to dry well; leave the hood open for complete drying.

Never use high-pressure washers; never use water on electrical components, never use aggressive solvents, and never clean an engine when it is hot.
