Replacing the Camshaft Oil Seal

To replace the camshaft, you need to remove the pulley, which involves working on the timing system, including replacement and re-timing. The belt must then be refitted correctly, as incorrect tension can cause serious engine damage. Both pulleys and the belt are marked. Put the vehicle in neutral and turn the crankshaft pulley bolt until the marks align. To facilitate this procedure, you can remove the spark plugs. When removing the oil seal, be careful not to damage the seating and ensure it is cleaned thoroughly.
