Engine Oil Change and Oil Filter Fitting on a Seat Leon

Model: Seat Leon MK 3, 5F - Years 2012-2019

Before proceeding with the engine oil change and fitting the oil filter on the car, position your Seat Leon on a ramp or flat surface (to work underneath the engine) to ensure the operator's safety and stability. At this point, after warming the engine for about three minutes (to make the oil more fluid), open the front bonnet, remove the plastic engine cover, and extract the dipstick to check the oil level. Underneath the engine, remove the splash guard and, after placing a container underneath, unscrew the bolt that seals the drain hole and let the oil drain out. Locate the filter position (as shown in the images) and, using the appropriate spanner, unscrew the filter housing from its seat. Replace the filter and refit it. Close the drain hole and pour 4 litres of oil into the engine. This completes the operation!
