Seat Leon - Video tutorial

Model: Seat Leon 1M - Years 1999-2005
Part: Window motor
Operation: How to replace the electric window regulator on the Seat Leon I.

In this video, we can see how to replace the electric window regulator of the Seat Leon I. First, we need to remove the door panel cover. We compare the new piece to ensure it is perfectly identical, then we use an electric drill to make a hole and remove the rivets holding the mechanism. There will likely be silicone to remove from the panel using a cutter. The new mechanism will be secured with the components provided in the repair kit, gently pulling on the door panel, starting from the storage compartment and then moving along the edge. We need to detach all the various support tabs of the panel, then lift it to remove it from the upper hinge. Now we can access the backside of the panel, holding it with one hand while disconnecting the door opening system cable. Then we remove the various accessory plugs of the door panel; a flathead screwdriver may be useful for some. Once all the plugs are disconnected, we can remove the entire panel, slide down the electrical plug of the motor, disconnect the speaker plug, and remove the two rubber openings that allow access to the window support.
