How to Check the Engine Oil Level of a Seat Leon

Checking the engine oil level should be done periodically to monitor any losses that could be due to a leak or oil consumption by the engine itself. In the latter case, an engine overhaul may be necessary. After parking the car on a level surface, turn off the engine and wait a few minutes for the oil to drain into the sump. Open the bonnet and locate the dipstick, which usually has a yellow or orange loop handle. Remove the dipstick, wipe the end with a clean cloth, and reinsert it fully before removing it again to check how far it is coated in oil. Top up if the level is at the minimum.
