How to Reset the Service Light on a Škoda Octavia

Model: Skoda Octavia MK 2, 1Z - Years 2004-2012

On a Škoda Octavia, you can completely clear the Service light by pressing and holding the button located in the centre of the instrument cluster, just below the central display of the dashboard. While holding it down, the instrument cluster must be off: then, insert the ignition key and turn it to switch on the cluster. This way, after a few seconds, you will be able to verify that the maintenance interval has been reset and that the Service light will disappear from the instrument cluster; you can confirm the reset by turning the display off and on again.
