Change the Key Battery on a Skoda Fabia

Model: Skoda Fabia 6Y, Mark1 - Years 1999-2007

Take your remote key and, using a screwdriver, separate the metal key from the key cover (the part with the buttons). Remove the metal key and use a screwdriver to pry apart the two parts of the plastic key cover. Once the cover is open, extract the worn battery. Get a new battery of the same size and voltage. Reassemble the two parts of the cover on your remote by pressing the key cover until you hear it click into place. Reattach the metal key to the cover. Check the functionality of the remote key using the dedicated buttons.
